United Learning opened a new £30 million, purpose build Academy in 2008 with excellent, state of the art facilities and where faculties are based in suites of traditional classrooms equipped with modern technology.
We serve a community with a diverse population of young people aged 11-16 and their families, who deserve the best educational provision.
All staff are accountable, responsible and have the ability to work in a team and to build and maintain positive relationships. We work towards ensuring each child achieves the highest possible academic standard. We actively promote each of the Academy's specialisms (performing arts with business and enterprise) and promote our own areas of responsibility within the Academy and beyond.
We are committed to the development of all adults employed at the academy. We provide a high quality programme of professional development which includes weekly collaborative CPD with a focus on improving the quality of learning and teaching. In addition, there are more bespoke programmes for NQTs and those who have recently qualified. There are also opportunities to participate in accredited development. Our colleagues relish a challenge, enjoy an opportunity to make a real difference and contribute to the pursuit of excellence and improvement.
